My newest time consuming and yet worthy project is building an antique button collection for two reasons. For one, I'd like to rip all of the buttons off of my clothes and replace them with something a little more interesting (because in all honesty sometimes I'll hate a garment strictly because of the buttons. For example, fall/winter '08 Michael Kors jackets were lovely & tweed with big shiny plastic cheap buttons on the front & it ruined the entire line for me. Very underwhelmed Michael. I'm underwhelmed). Secondly, i like the idea of filling jars with them! Or even planting some lucky bamboo & letting the roots grow around the buttons! Oh, the possibilities!
