Buried Life

I just saw the trailer for a new show called "The Buried Life", it's about 4 guys with a list of things to complete before they die & along the way they meet people & try to help them accomplish their bucket list. The picture above is #77. Go to burning man. It looks really incredible! Here's the trailer!

The Armpit of America

SO a lot of people have been noticing MTVs newest bastard "Jersey Shore", it's like the real world but set in the armpit of America, with self-proclaimed "Guidos" (which is a term i've only recently discovered to be a reference to greasy italian guys with stupid hair & spray on tans... think "My New Haircut") & "Guidettes" (skanky italian girls... with the tranny make up & the bump-its.) I hate how much i love this show, i feel so much more emotionally mature and intelligent when i watch it. My favorite character, Snookers, (oh did i mention there are knicknames involved?!) gets punched right in the face this week, FINALLY. (Video above, watch those hair extensions fly!) Someone's already been kicked off the show, Angela or something "The Kim Kardashian of Staten Island" (because apparently there's only one person with a fat ass in Staten Island) couldn't go to work because she was devastated after breaking up with her married boyfriend, and when her boss came to speak to her she hid in the bathroom (like any other adult), she'll be forever immortalized by the words "I'm a bartender, i do great things". Most of the other characters aren't particularly important. If i were to be a Jersey Shore cast member (though i don't think there's room for anyone remotely educated) my name would be Tammy Mortadella. How do i know this you ask?! The Jersey Shore Name Generator! Anyway, get into this trashy show for me will you?!

Sidenote: Punching women... no. Punching anyone isn't cool. Especially women... especially when they have a poof & a bad knickname . Definitely don't hit those girls.

Fire & Nice

Dear blog family, please start watching Modern Family! It's absolutely hilarious.
Ty Burrell's character reminds me soo much of Shane, just excellently nerdy.

WWBDD?! (What Would Betty Draper Do)

So I'm obsessed with Betty Draper's Wardrobe. January Jones always looks so beautifully put together, her 50's inspired wardrobe is a stunning compilation of embroidery & high waisted dresses. EBRACE. As a side note, Mad Men is on tonight at 9! They don't even pay me to say that, if they did I'd own most of what's seen here. Enjoy fashion mongrels.

Hilary Duff Puts On Her Actor Face To Ruin My Monday's

So for what is easily the biggest tragedy on television this year, Hilary Duff has joined the cast of Gossip Girl. The acting on Gossip Girl is already incredibly poor, i can't begin to understand what the thought process was that lead someone to believe that Hilary Duff would be a good addition to anything. That's like putting glitter on a pimple. She always has this dumbfounded look on her face... it's her actor face. As of last week, i have boycotted Gossip Girl. I'll be happy to return to the show after Hilary Duff's big teeth and have been dismissed from the cast.

Welcome to The Philip Defranco Show, The Show That's Not Really A Show

My favorite way to get my daily news is either from hunky CNN reporter Anderson Cooper or from Philip Defranco's youtube feed. I've been part of the Defranco nation for a short 4 months but i couldn't imagine a week without him. With no apparent background in comedy, he brings you both obscure and mainstream news and puts a comedic spin on it. I literally end up hunched over laughing after the three or four minutes he spends bringing me the daily news. It's one of my favorite things... which is cause enough for you to watch it.

I Only Back Down For Realism & Glee

No one necessarily NEEDS anything but it would be really nice if the clothing fairies would bring me the following two tops, though i am usually opposed to tee shirts for reasons I'm not entirely sure of... except maybe because i was so opposed to the "insert ironic statement about breasts or politics about which i know next to nothing except for what is stated here on this tee shirt" here tee shirts' ... because if no one listens to you, they'll definitely listen to your tee shirt. ANYWAY: The "I Heart Realism" tee shirt, which is fabulous and ironic.
Also, the "I'm a Gleek" tee shirt. In support of my new favorite show, which is on TONIGHT at 9 everyone!

Paaarrrrtttaaayyy: Homebody Edition.

The biggest part of my night tonight will be the airing of Glee's second episode (I'll leave it up to you to judge whether or not that's pathetic). The new series - from the wonderful mind of FOX - follows a high school Glee club (although i think this is a tad different from high school musical - mainly because there are actors in it). The first episode came out awhile ago, it was really hilarious & gave me warm fuzzy feelings about being painfully unpopular in high school. WATCH IT!

The second biggest part of my night will be the season premier of America's Next Top Model, which has become literally painful to watch. Watching Tyra Banks theatrics on this show is comparable to watching the really bad American Idol auditions - you know they're really serious about this, that people have told them it's a good idea (they may or may not have done so to be cruel). Last years season premiere i was so embarrassed for Tyra Banks as she made an entrance shouting "I AM THE GODDESS OF FEIRCE & I AM TIRED!".

Third biggest part of my night (this is a big night) will be the season finale of The Real World Cancun - my predictions you ask? Joey (the male whore) will hook up with arch enemy the irritating and bi-curious Aiiya. Emily & Jonnai might get involved (wouldn't be the first time). Derek will cry, Aiiya & Emily will definitely cry, Jonnai will beg for her boyfriends forgiveness for being such a sleaze.

Movement & Linkage

Though i am not a dancer by any means and consider having a full body spasm unpleasant to watch in general, I've begun to identify a certain sense of lovely solitude about dance. Also, I've recently been told that for women in particular, movement is vital. Everything about us is expressed through our body language and it's important to move, to be fluid, to feel strong, to open your body up and allow yourself to look stupid in the solitude of your own home. For those people who feel the need to showcase there is "So You Think You Can Dance". The pieces on the show have become more interpretive & expressive over the seasons, especially in the contemporary genre.

I've included my favorite dances from the first season to the last. Enjoy the linkage, friends.
