Tattoo Subjects Part Trois.

I love the simplicity of these two, a paper airplane and a homage to the perfect cup of coffee.

"I live to let you shine" from Boats & Birds song on the inside of the foot & two feathers facing opposite directions, the detail is so beautiful.

Anchor piece "I woke up near the sea" & LOOK at the shading on the skull on chest. Lovely

"Shake the dust" (from poem above) i hate that placement, & an adorable airplane.

I would never do this. Pug owners are so insane.

Nothing of Use.

The following links are not useful for anything, but I have personally spent hours just staring at them. Anything that's consumed that much of my attention deserves blog recognition. Enjoy munchkins.

Photobucket

Zefrank Scribbler : Scribble your impaired little doodle and watch this website make your chicken scratch sad excuse for a penis drawing a masterpiece you'll be proud to tell your friends you're associated with.

HevelticToc : This tells time. I have no idea why i like it so much.

Screen Cleaner : This look just like my Puggers.

Jackson Pollock.Org : This is so that you can make a pathetic half cocked version of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Wonderfl : I honestly can't even tell you what this is. It makes you feel like a spider fucking up a tightly knit web and spreading lice around.

Mr.Doob Lab : The experience of being on LSD. Like being stuck in a fishbowl of frozen water droplets.

Things That Illicit Fleeting Joy: Dans La Past 6 Months

This has been a rough 6 months, though i barely have anything to complain about because I have good friends, good family, a great job & I'm moving away to a beautiful new city to pursue a career in something i love to do, it's hard not letting the big problems in my life overshadow the good, the following is a selection of things that have made me overwhelmingly glad to be alive over the passed few months :

"Eat, Pray, Love", Burts Bee's Lip Balm, Sudoku for DS,
making jokes about the city wide slut fest: Stampede, Bliss' Sage & Lemon body lotion,
Children's Lit, Leopard print glasses from Wal-Mart,
Rereading Harry Potter for a class - feeling my inner 9 year old falling in love all over again,
hot summer afternoons at the dog park walking Chasamus, sky blue nail polish,
Phil & Sebastian Latte's, Naked Green Machine Juice, maxi dresses and mid afternoon naps

Voga Wine, raspberries, spending time with family,
helping people on their summer English courses, Peonies,
Chase can now go on a walk through the neighborhood off-leash,
the incredible greenery created by what seemed like months of rain,
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Futurama (since it's been picked up again),
Watching Lindsay Lohan's life fall apart, Weeds, blue eyeliner, Chloe perfume,
FFFFOUND , documentary's about anything from food production to corporate abuses,
and my newest notebook.

Taking pictures of flowers, trying to catch people shoplifting- I'm like the shoplifting Bounty Hunter,
Sally Hanson Nail Polish Remover Pen, vegan desserts/ cocktails, french bulldogs, Sara Barialles,
reading out loud to someone else, MJUS shoes, craft night, having someone sing for me, Aussie Rules,
Steel Magnolias, my Anne Marino sandals i bought when i was 16 at a market in NY,
gigantic rings, Scategories - with your own categories, Disney movies, "the panty bag",

Tattoo Subjects Part Two

I hate the placement of this one but i love the quote "Don't let sleep overtake you the world's awake with you"

I like the size of the crane, but the piece i really love is the
feather on her wrist, it's incredibly detailed, not so sure
about the pearls though... i could do without them.

I like that all of these pieces are related to travel
The compass, the ship <3 (i once read a poem that began
with the words "I am a body of water"), the words "caxton tamed" &
"There's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out"

The cuff on her left sleeve is beautifully done ( not sure I'm crazy about the daisies on the left or the hearts for that matter, the buttons on her chest are amazing

I really like the bird silhouette. Beautiful idea.

I love the detail of the feather & i like the placement of it,
i just wish it were a little more curved.

This could possibly be the most
beautiful sleeve I've ever seen. I am obsessed with
the peonies & choice of color.

Plath Love.

"Mad Girl's Love Song" By Sylvia Plath

I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

Poladroid

I'm sure everyone already knows what Poladroid is, but in case you don't know it's an application that you drag your photos onto it & then they are printed and develop on your desktop so it's pretty cool. Here are some of my own favorite pictures from my trip along the coast this summer.

Tattoo Subjects

I hate peoples tattoos, it isn't that i don't like tattoos, because i do. I just think people just make really stupid decisions about them. For instance, people who get portraits done especially of their pets (every time i watch Miami Ink someone is getting a portrait of their fucking pet on their goddamn chest), here are a few that i found online & i don't think they're absolutely horrible.

I love owls & i think this is just so cute.

My favorite so far is the paper plane, i think i just like the work"float" & the font
BUT i think the placement is really stupid.

This peacock feather is really pretty & subtle... This woman is inordinately skinny.

I love the placement of this.

Fred's Strange Little Menagerie of Things.

So Fred's products in Calgary are sold are random little store like "Reids". Anyway! These were their coolest inventions of 2009!
Unzipped, it's glass! Clever!

Tooth Piks, perfect for stabbing & scooping.

"To Do Tattoo's" You write little to do lists that you
can make into temporary tattoo's. How clever.

PAC-MAN Hot Heads, rubber oven mitts!
For all of the cooking i do.
I love these, rubber ice trays (which are way easier then plastic
anyway) in the shapes of space invaders.

Giant Headphone speakers. Clever.

He's literally a dust bunny! He's all microfiber & whatnot!

More Completely Unnecessary Knick Knacks

My new obsession with finding the most useless shit ever conceived has finally been satisfied, behold the "Everything Else" section of Etsy's wonderful treasures.

From Left: An "original one of a kind" Twilight inspired painting for $15, a lovely brass necklace with a picture of Jesus on it... & a completely unnecessary somehow mystically knotted ball of yarn...

From Left: Bad Luck Banishing Powder (i think if you have actually bought this, a glass bottle with oregano in it can't even save you now) & a beautiful humming bird feeder hat (the sales pitch for this is so excellent "Imagine having two beautiful little hummingbirds feeding just to the right and left of you...so close you can feel the breeze generated by the beating of their wings. You can have this experience with this hummingbird hat!"... it's a helmet... with bird feeders attached)

Ukrainian Egg with a depiction of Samantha from Bewitched on it, Armor made from armadillo bone & a Plush Uterus with a missing ovary.
